Q: What jobs can you do?

- loft insulation
- cooker hood instalaltion
- installation of light fittings
- adding additional sockets in Dining room

- garden shed erection

- modifying/installing interior and exterior doors

Q: What jobs can't you do?
A: We can't build your extension, or carry out tree surgery. We can't carry our major re-wiring projects, but are OK to do minor works, such as replacing light fittings, replacing sockets etc. We can't do large scale plastering. Our insurance also only covers us for heights up to 5 metres (eaves height of typical 2-story house), so we can't do roofing or chimney work.
Q: What's the process?
A: Phone or email to make an appointment for a quote. We will come and visit, and take down details. We will endeavour to get back to you within a week with a formal quote, and an estimate of when we may be able to do the work. Once agreed, we will come and do the work, and submit an invoice at the end, when you are satisfied that the work is completed.
Q: Do you take cash?
A: Yes, we take cash, but prefer a BACS transfer. You can also pay by cheque. Payment is expected within 15 days of the invoice.
Q: How much do you charge?
A: It depends on the work required. For simpler jobs such as straight-forward painting and decorating, or gardening, we would charge less per hour/day than for jobs that involve carpentry or electrical work. Please ask for a quote. We will deliver the work for this price where possible. We will discuss with you if it looks like we will go over the quoted price due to additional materials, work, travel etc.
Q: What happens if I change my mind about what work is required?
A: It depends on the work. Changes that affect the work schedule may be difficult if we have other jobs to move onto. We may have to come back at a later date if additional work is required; or charge for lost time if the work is down-scaled.
Q: Do you require any payment up front?
A: Generally not, unless the materials are particularly expensive!
Q: Are you insured?
A: Yes, we have £1m public liability insurance.
